Diagnosis: Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL), variant with prominent extra-nodular LP cells.
NLPHL represents -5% of total HL, usually presents at low stage with a favorable clinical outcomes. Typical NLPHL is characteristic of scattered lymphoma cells (LP cells) in expanded nodules rich in B cells. LP cells show GC B-cell phenotype (CD20+, BCL6+, BCL2-, CD30-, CD15-). LP cells are surrounded by follicular T cells (CD3+CD4+CD57+). There are histopathological variants present with LP cells outside nodules, T-cell rich nodules or diffuse pattern. The variants usually present with more advanced stages and increased risk of relapse.
