Summary of the flow cytometry results:
There are two abnormal cell populations. One comprises about 50% of the total cells in the sample and shows low site scatter and intermediate CD45 intensity. The cells are positive for CD34, CD38, HLA-DR, CD117, CD33, CD13, CD15 (partial, 60%), CD71 (dim), cMPO,, cLysozyme (dim), TdT(minimal, 14%); negative for CD14, CD11b, CD56, CD61, CD235a, T cell and B cells markers. The immunophenotype of these cells is consistent with myeloblasts. The other abnormal cell population comprises about 30% of total cells in the samlple and shows slightly higher site scatter and bright CD45. The cells are positive for CD38, HLA-DR, CD4 (dim), CD14, CD11b, CD13 (variable), CD33, CD15, CD71 (dim), CD2 (minimal, 18%), cMPO, cLysozyme (bright); negative for CD34, CD117, CD56, CD61, CD235a, TdT, B cell and other T cell markers. The immunophenoty of these cells is consistent with monocytic cells (monoblasts, promonocytes or abnormal monocytes). The findings are consistent with acute myelomonocytic leukemia.
